The City of Fremantle is taking Christmas to the beach this year, with some free festive fun in the sand and sun, along with the usual family favourites.
The program of free events runs from 13 to 20 December 2025 and is sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
There's already a hint of Christmas in the air, with dozens of colourful banners featuring festive 'Cranedeers' and dazzling fairy lights strung along the Cappuccino Strip, and a five-metre Christmas tree spreading joy in the foyer of the Walyalup Civic Centre.
Shoppers are being encouraged to buy their Christmas presents from Fremantle's unique local retailers, through a fun, City-led digital media campaign.
Fremantle Mayor Ben Lawver said the City's festive season activities are a real highlight on the community calendar.
"For many, this time of year is an opportunity to slow down our busy lives and share some quality time and the festive spirit with our loved ones, friends, neighbours and other community members.
"It's also a chance to think about those who are less fortunate, who'd appreciate some help over the festive period. There are many wonderful organisations working in Fremantle who are looking for donations. Please consider them when doing your shopping.
"As we approach the end of the year, I'd like to thank all the community groups out there who've worked tirelessly to make Freo the great place that it is. Rest up, if you can, over the holiday period and come back with renewed enthusiasm in the new year.
"I look forward to seeing everyone at Carols from the Koort for a sing-a-long," Mayor Lawver said.
