The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) is reminding dentists and other healthcare providers that their patients will be presenting re-designed card to access their health treatments and services.
In the case of those seeking dental treatment, the DVA program remains unchanged with the department stressing that while the cards may have a new look, the same benefits and entitlements apply.
While most people eligible for DVA services will have the new cards, a number do not, and services can be provided regardless of whether the patients present a new or old-style card (these remain valid until such time as they are replaced).
Veteran Card holders are also able to present digital versions of their plastic DVA White or Gold Cards to dentists and other health providers, which they can access through the online DVA portal MyService.
