Victoria Names Second XI Squad To Face South Australia

Victoria has confirmed its Second XI squad for the upcoming four-day match against South Australia at Ringwood, beginning November 18.

Headlined by the inclusion of Harry Dixon, the fixture will see several moving parts, providing valuable opportunities for players impressing in Premier Cricket to continue their development within Victoria's pathway system.

Harry Hoekstra and Austin Anlezark will share bowling duties across the match, each featuring in one innings. Prahran's Brodie Symons earns selection following strong Premier Cricket form, while Northcote's Jackson Smith retains his place after also performing impressively at club level.

Farzan Chowna has been rewarded with with his Victorian Second XI debut after an impressive start to the summer for the Melbourne Cricket Club, where the talented batsmen has compiled 298 runs at an average of 149.

Jai Lemire will tackle the wicketkeeping duties, with Tyler Pearson providing batting and fielding depth across the four days.

Liam Blackford, Cam McClure and Xavier Crone are unavailable for selection, having been named in the upcoming Cricket Australia XI to face the England Lions in Perth beginning November 21.
