Victorian Wines Star at World's Largest Wine Museum

Seven Victorian wineries are set to make their mark on one of the world's most prestigious wine stages — the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, France.

The iconic museum welcomes more than 400,000 wine lovers each year, making it a high-profile platform to showcase Victorian wine to a deeply engaged global audience.

The wineries selected span four of Victoria's most celebrated regions — Hume, Barwon, Grampians and Yarra Valley — a line-up that speaks to the diversity and depth that sets Victorian wine apart on the world stage:

  • Oakdene Wines
  • Pizzini Wines
  • Rathbone Wines (Mount Langi Ghiran and Yering Station)
  • Fowles Wines
  • Stanton & Killeen
  • De Bortoli
  • Yeringberg

With over 700 wineries, 770 grape growers and 21 distinctive wine regions, Victoria is home to more wineries than any other Australian state. In 2024–25, Victorian wine exports generated $186 million, reflecting the strength and momentum of an industry with genuine global appeal.

The Cité du Vin opportunity sits within the broader ambitions of the Victorian Wine Strategy 2025–30, which sets out how Victoria will grow its $9 billion wine industry both at home and in key international markets.
