Victoria's Pride Street Party returns to Yarra

Get ready to celebrate at Victoria's Pride Street Party this February in Yarra.

Yarra's iconic Gertrude and Smith streets will come to life in a fabulous street party – featuring two live music stages, with performances from musicians and artists - to celebrate Victoria's diverse LGBTQIA+ communities.

This is the second year that the Pride Street Party is being held in Collingwood and Fitzroy, with the inaugural event taking place in February 2022 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Victoria. That event attracted more than 30,000 people and was a huge success for local businesses.

Yarra City Council Mayor Cr Claudia Nguyen said Council was thrilled the Victorian Government had chosen to hold the event in Yarra again this year.

"Yarra has a rich history of supporting and advocating for LGBTQIA+ communities. To have this wonderful event back in Yarra for the second-year running is a testament to our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion in this city," she said.
