Viet Nam Signs its Fourth Country Programme Framework for 2022-2027

Trung Kien Nguyen, Resident Representative, Permanent Mission of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the IAEA, and Hua Liu, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, signed the Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2022-2027 on 10 March 2022. A CPF is the frame of reference for the medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support national development goals.

Viet Nam has been an IAEA Member State since 1957. Its 2022-2027 CPF identifies 7 priority areas:

1. Nuclear and Radiation Safety and Security

2. Food and Agriculture

3. Health And Nutrition

4. Water And Environment

5. Energy and Industry

6. Research Reactor

7. General Support and Human Resource Development
