Visit By Singapore's Minister For Defence

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, will today welcome Singapore's Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, to Australia.

During the visit, the Ministers will meet to discuss opportunities to further deepen our long-standing defence partnership.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Australia and Singapore's diplomatic relations, and the 10th anniversary of our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, an agreement that encompasses all aspects of our relationship including trade, defence, science and innovation, education and the arts. Australia and Singapore's defence relationship is underpinned by our shared trust and strategic interests.
