Blacktown City Council is upgrading four playgrounds across the City as part of a $448,000 improvement project.

The playground upgrades are planned for:

  • Bill Swift Reserve, Blacktown
  • William Lawson Park, Prospect
  • Lake Woodcroft Reserve, Woodcroft
  • Kruse Park, Tregear

Blacktown City Council Mayor Tony Bleasdale OAM is encouraging residents to have their say on the playgrounds.

"Council recognises the importance of parks and playgrounds in the wellbeing of our community by allocating funding to build new and improved play spaces," Mayor Bleasdale said.

"I encourage everyone to have their say to ensure Council design and create the best play spaces possible.

"A lot of new equipment is planned for the parks, including rocking horses for the parks at Blacktown, Prospect and Woodcroft, a Ninja Warrior agility piece for Tregear and a net swing for Bill Swift Reserve."

All playgrounds will receive a main multi-play structure featuring a slide and climbing structure, a swing set and carousel.
