WA Award Summaries, Pay Rates Released for July 2026

New WA award summaries have been published to help employers and employees in the state system prepare for the increase to pay rates from 1 July 2026.

The 1 July 2026 versions of the WA award summaries are now available. The July versions include the rates of pay that apply from the beginning of the first pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2026.

The new state Minimum rates of pay for award free employees have also been published. The State Minimum Wage for employees 21 and over will increase by 4.75% to $998.30 per week. Minimum wages for younger workers and award free trainees and apprentices will also increase. All rates of pay in WA awards will increase by 4.75%.

Some significant changes have been made to state awards in the last 12 months, including the consolidation of awards in some industries. Visit Changes to WA awards for more information.

This pay increase only applies to employers and employees in the state industrial relations system. It covers businesses and organisations which operate as:

  • sole traders
  • unincorporated partnerships
  • unincorporated trust arrangements
  • incorporated associations that are not trading or financial corporations and other not-for-profit organisations that are not trading or financial corporations
