New WA award summaries have been published to help employers and employees in the state system prepare for the increase to pay rates from 1 July 2025.
The 1 July 2025 versions of the Wageline WA award summaries are now available. The July versions include the rates of pay that apply from the beginning of the first pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2025.
The new state Minimum rates of pay for award free employees have also been published.
The State Minimum Wage for employees 21 and over will increase by 3.75% to $953.00 per week. Minimum wages for younger workers and award free trainees and apprentices will also increase. All rates of pay in WA awards will increase by 3.75%.
This pay increase only applies to employers and employees in the state industrial relations system. It covers businesses and organisations which operate as:
- sole traders
- unincorporated partnerships
- unincorporated trust arrangements
- incorporated associations that are not trading or financial corporations and other not-for-profit organisations that are not trading or financial corporations
