The WA Government is inviting feedback on the potential opportunities and considerations related to reforming the State's public holiday schedule.
The WA Government is inviting feedback from the community, businesses and peak bodies on the potential impacts of reforming WA's public holidays.
This consultation is part of a review into WA's public holiday schedule which aims to align public holidays with other states and territories and support our community to celebrate Western Australia's spirit, diverse culture and achievements.
There are three changes the WA Government is seeking feedback on:
- Moving existing public holidays to align with other jurisdictions
- Moving WA Day to avoid the winter season
- The addition of a new public holiday(s).
