One of Australia's most iconic television series, Home and Away, is officially filming across Western Australia.

The Home and Away Western Australia special event is being filmed at a range of locations across the State, starting with Perth, and will showcase WA's breathtaking coastal scenery, rugged outback, and unique tourism destinations to audiences around the world.

Supported by the WA Government through Tourism WA, this high-profile media opportunity will shine a spotlight on WA to audiences across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and more than 60 other international markets.

The WA episodes will air in 2026 and be backed by a national promotional campaign featuring teaser content and location highlights.

The UK is WA's largest international market by visitor numbers and boasts a strong Home and Away fanbase, presenting a significant opportunity to position WA as a must-visit destination.

In the year ending June 2025, more than 132,000 visitors from the UK travelled to WA, spending $381 million in the State.

As the nation's longest-running drama series, Home and Away has been a staple of Australian television for more than three decades, with almost a million Australians tuning in on average every night and the series seeing a 7 per cent growth in its audience this year alone.

As stated by Tourism Minister Reece Whitby:

"Home and Away has been a staple of Australian television for close to 40 years, and the show filming here in WA marks an exciting moment for our State.

"This special storyline presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase WA to millions of viewers across the country and around the world - particularly in the United Kingdom, our largest international visitor market by visitor numbers.

"Screen productions like this inspire travel and create emotional connections, encouraging viewers to come and experience these spectacular destinations for themselves.

"It's all part of our broader strategy to boost visitor numbers to WA by sharing the unique stories, people, and places that make WA a premier holiday destination."
