Wangaratta Highway Patrol members intercepted a speeding vehicle in Wodonga last night.
It is alleged the Toyota Tarago was driving at a speed of 185km/h in a 110/km/h speed zone, south on the Hume Freeway about 7.20pm.
When intercepted, police observed a man and a woman with six children in the car.
The driver, a 36-year-old Tarneit man, returned a positive oral fluid test for cannabis.
The man was charged and bailed to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates' Court for traffic related offences.
