Water Fun Park Opens in Sydneys South

Sutherland Shire’s newest and coolest family attraction is open – ahead of schedule!

Sutherland Shire Leisure Centres Water Fun Park was officially opened by Sutherland Shire Mayor, Councillor Carmelo Pesce this morning, who was extremely impressed with the new facility.

"We know our community are always looking for fun and active ways to enjoy the outdoors and this is the perfect place for the whole family," he said.

The Water Fun Park has a wide range of dynamic water features, including safe slides, water fountains and play equipment to suit children of all ages and abilities and also features integrated shade structures and seating.

It spans 500 square metres, will be supervised by lifeguards during operating hours and with no water over 30 centimetres in depth it makes it the perfect place for parents to relax as they observe their kids having fun in a safe space.

"This will be the hottest new attraction for families across Sutherland Shire, providing a safe and exciting new place to spend weekends, school holidays or even for hosting birthday parties," Mayor Pesce added.

The Water Fun Park will be open during the warmer months of the year, September to April, with exceptions to be made for warm and sunny days outside of that period.

Access to the new Water Fun Park will be included in the Leisure Centre’s standard entry fee that also allows unlimited access to indoor and outdoor pools.
