Water Main Replacement Works - Water Shutdown Short Street, Cooma

Weather permitting, a water shutdown will be conducted to cut new valving into existing water mains to commission the new water main for Short Street, Cooma. This essential work is scheduled for a four hour period (10am - 2pm) on Monday 25 October 2021.

Possible affected streets are:

• Short St

• Egan St

• Baron St

• Murray St

An individual letter will be placed in affected residence mailboxes to inform them of the coming works.

Local traffic movement will be permitted under site staff direction. Snowy Monaro Regional Council staff and contractors will not require access onto private property.

McMahons has been awarded this contract and will be issuing notices directly to individual residents prior to any interruption of individual resident's water supply.

Any road pavement, driveways and paths affected by the reconstruction work will be repaired or replaced as part of the project works.

Council apologises for any inconvenience this work may cause and asks residents and motorists to be mindful of crews and machinery that will be working on and around this project.
