Weapons and drugs found in Murray Bridge search, South Australia

A man will face court on Tuesday after police allegedly located weapons and drugs at a Murray Bridge house today.

Acting on information provided through Crime Stoppers, Murray Bridge Police attended the Murray Bridge address about 9am today, Friday 2 April.

A search was conducted with the assistance of local patrols, CIB detectives and Police Dog Indi.

Ammunition and prohibited weapons, including OC spray, double-edged knives, knuckledusters, a sling shot, a taser and firearms parts were allegedly located.

Officers also uncovered a quantity of illicit drugs, including methamphetamine, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

A 39-year-old Murray Bridge man was arrested and charged with breaching a firearms prohibition order, possess ammunition, possess prohibited weapons, possess a dangerous article, possess a controlled drug, unlawful possession and breach of bail.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday 6 April.
