Weapons and drugs seized; Man charged in Sydney City

A man has been charged after drugs and weapons were seized from a unit in Ultimo today.

About 12pm Thursday (6 February 2020), officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command served a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) on a 42-year-old man at a unit on Wattle Crescent, Ultimo.

A search of the property allegedly revealed a quantity of heroin in bags and concealed in deodorant cans as well as two vials of steroids and an amount of cash.

Police also located a pair of knuckle dusters and a large knife with a double-edged blade.

The man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

He was charged with supply prohibited drug (greater than indictable quantity), possess prohibited drug (2), possess prohibited weapon (2) and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Friday 7 February 2020).
