GALLERY'S LATEST EXHIBITION – UPCYCLED

Artists: (Left to right): Jill Wyers (Havelock), Andy Ferg (Avoca) and Carole Payne (Maryborough)
Central Goldfields Gallery's latest exhibition Community Arts - Upcycled opens tomorrow, Saturday 29 November at 2pm with a party atmosphere: musician Corinne Nichols (Pickles) will bring jazz-blues and guests are encouraged to wear something recycled, reimagined or op-shopped!
This popular exhibition returns with a new theme encouraging artists to think sustainably and creatively.
Artists from across the Central Goldfields Shire — and neighbouring Avoca — have contributed works, including school groups and a collaborative piece by artists from ASTERIA Disability Services.
Everyone is welcome to the official opening — no bookings required and refreshments will be provided.
Central Goldfields Art Gallery is located at 1 Neill Street, Maryborough and is open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
FAST INTERNET AVAILABLE IN DUNOLLY

Dunolly residents have to be quick if they want to register for a free connection to high-speed Internet.
Infrastructure provider Opticomm is progressing works to install fibre to the premises across the township, and residents have until 15 December to connect free of charge. Service provider fees are additional.
Opticomm was awarded funding from the Victorian Government's Connecting Victoria program to roll-out fibre in Dunolly.
Council has been advocating for better connectivity across the region, with the project offering benefits for businesses, residents and potential growth.

DOGS WELCOME

Our Compliance team advises that following the update of our Local Law, dogs-on-leash are once again welcome in the Maryborough CBD.
Owners are reminded to always keep their pets under control, and to carry a bag for disposal of animal waste.
Over coming weeks our Operations team will progressively remove signage, but there's no need for your pooches to wait!
16 DAYS CAMPAIGN
We're proud to be a partner in this year's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
Activities and events are now underway across Maryborough and will continue until 10 December.
Our Library and Gallery teams are hosting a range of events throughout the campaign, and our Operations team has once again supported Zonta with the creation of a striking Zonta-themed garden bed at Phillips Gardens.
The campaign will conclude with a Walk Against Family Violence on Wednesday, 10 December at 9.45am for a 10am start – commencing at the Zonta Flower Bed.
Central Goldfields Shire residents of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come together and take a positive step towards ending gender-based violence.
Residents are encouraged to turn up on the day, wear orange and walk in solidarity, with the walk to conclude at Maryborough District Health Service in Clarendon Street.
