West Beach serious crash

Major Crash Investigation officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred at West Beach on Friday, 8 January 2021.

About 4.20pm, the driver of a white Holden Rodeo utility was overtaking a red Kia Sportage station sedan on Twilight Beach Road when he lost control of the vehicle approximately 150m south-west of Connolly Street. The Holden rolled several times, coming to rest back on its wheels.

The 17-year-old male driver received minor injuries and an 18-year-old male passenger received serious injuries and was later airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Major Crash Investigation officers are urging anyone who saw this incident, or the Holden Rodeo Utility or the Kia Sportage wagon being driven in the area prior to the crash, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
