Western Australia coronovirus update as at 2 April 2021

The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

The State's total remains at 944.

WA Health is monitoring 16 active cases of COVID-19 and 919 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, the WA Department of Health has administered 56,337 COVID-19 vaccinations, including 8217 people who have received both doses. Yesterday, 2840 people were vaccinated.

Yesterday, 415 people were assessed for testing at WA Health COVD clinics and 414 were swabbed.

There have been 947,084 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of these, 135,622 were from regional WA.

To date, 40 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 28 of the B.1.1.7 strain,11 of the B.1.351 strain and one of the P1 variant (Brazilian variant).
