- Como Engineers named 2025 Western Australian Exporter of the Year
- More than 40 per cent of applicants entered the program for the first time
- Category winners will now compete in the Australian Export Awards in Canberra
The winners of the 2025 Western Australian Export Awards have been announced, with Como Engineers taking home the top prize as the Exporter of the Year.
Como Engineers provides modular plant design, construction and commissioning services for minerals processing in the State.
Now in its 37th year, the awards celebrate the achievements of WA businesses exporting home-grown innovation and expertise to the world.
They provide an important platform to showcase the State's diverse industries and export capabilities.
This year, 40 outstanding local companies applied, with more than 40 per cent being first-time applicants, highlighting the success of the program and the State's export industry.
Premier Roger Cook congratulated all category winners at the WA Export Awards Gala Dinner on Friday night across 15 categories, from agribusiness and advanced manufacturing to professional services, health, education, technology and sustainability.
The First Nations Exporter Award, recognising the global impact of Aboriginal-led businesses was introduced for the 2025 awards, with Kirrikin being the inaugural winner of this new category.
In 2024-25, Western Australia exported $232 billion of goods, accounting for 45 per cent of Australia's total goods exports.
Exporters play a critical role in supporting this strength, through innovation, market diversification and global partnerships that deliver lasting benefits for Western Australians.
The winners of each category now advance to the Australian Export Awards to compete for the national titles in Canberra in November.
The WA Export Awards program is managed by Invest and Trade Western Australia.

As stated by Premier and Trade and Investment Minister Roger Cook:
"Congratulations to all the winners of this year's Western Australian Export Awards. With almost half of our nominees being new to the program, it is a clear demonstration of the strength and potential of our State's great export industry.
"The success of every nominee reflects the next generation of exporters stepping onto the global stage, creating jobs locally and contributing to the State's strong economy.
"My government's priority to diversify the WA economy to ensure it remains the strongest in the nation means we can continue to create quality jobs and business opportunities for Western Australians.
"I wish all of our category winners the very, very best at the National Australian Export Awards later this year."
