Westgate Highway Patrol are appealing for witnesses following a collision in South Kingsville on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators have been told a truck hit the rear of a taxi in the outbound lane of the Westgate Freeway, between Melbourne Road and Millers Road, around 1.10pm on 1 December.
The 51-year-old taxi driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 23-year-old truck driver stopped at the scene and assisted police with initial enquiries.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision who witnessed the incident or with dashcam footage, to contact them.
