Kiama Council and Destination Kiama are encouraging residents and businesses to 'go yellow' for the arrival of L'Étape Australia this week (19 and 20 March).
We're getting into the spirit, decorating our town centres with a wonderful range of cycling related objects, all in yellow.
As well as yellow ribbons and bunting, you'll notice yellow bikes, yellow wheel rims, flags and sculptures.
We'd love to see our residents and businesses 'go yellow' as well, decking out their houses, cafes, restaurants, shops and businesses in yellow streamers, lights, decorations and signs.
Of course having people dress up in yellow would be fantastic way to welcome the riders and their families.
The festivities begin Friday 19 March with a community day at the Event Village in Coronation Park (behind Surf Beach).
This will provide the vibe of a Tour de France village with food stalls, bar, official merchandise, and cycling-related exhibitions.

We're expecting more than 3,000 riders plus plenty of spectators, so there will be a real festive atmosphere in Kiama.
This will spread throughout our municipality on the Saturday, when riders saddle-up and race south through Gerringong and Gerroa, before heading up Kangaroo Valley to the Highlands, before coming down through Jamberoo and back to Kiama.
Again we encourage everyone to 'go yellow' when waving them on as they speed by.
Some of the most exciting places to watch will at the challenging stages of the race such as Saddleback Mountain.
These will challenge even the best riders, and is a great place to show your support by wearing yellow, waving yellow flags and getting excited.
There will also be plenty of excitement as the leading cyclists head back into Kiama and down Manning Street to the finish line next to the Event Village.

Even when the race is run and won, the cyclists, their families and cycling fans will be making a weekend of it, and plan to eat, stay and play.
Most accommodation is fully booked, with our restaurants, cafes, boutiques and galleries expected to be popular with riders and spectators alike.
