Which countries supported Russia in UN vote?

The United Nations General Assembly has voted to condemn Russia's "attempted illegal annexation" of four partially occupied regions of Ukraine and demand its immediate reversal, urging member-states not to recognise the move.

With 35 abstentions, the vote was 143 in favor of and only 5 (including Russia) against condemning Russia's actions in Ukraine's east and south, garnering the most support of all resolutions ever against Moscow.

The resolution reaffirmed the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders.

Ukraine’s UN Ambassador Sergiy Kyslytsya hailed the result as "amazing".

Only 4 countries - Syria, Nicaragua, North Korea and Belarus joined Russia in voting against the resolution. China, India, South Africa and Pakistan were among 35 countries, mostly from Africa, who abstained from the vote.
