Wide Load Restriction on Flinders Hwy Alick Creek Bridge

From 6am – 6pm on Friday 17 March to Friday 24 March 2023 (weather permitting), temporary width restrictions will be in place at Alick Creek Bridge located at 44 kilometres east of Julia Creek along the Flinders Highway (Richmond - Julia Creek), while works are completed to replace the bridge deck wearing surfaces.

Vehicles with a ground contact width or load width exceeding 3m will be restricted during the construction period however travel between 6pm and 6am is permitted provided you have a permit that allows for night time travel.

Vehicles with loads exceeding 3m wide

  • will only be permitted at daylight hours between 6am and 6pm with prior arrangement
  • Must contact Glenike Hawea 24 hours prior to arrival on 0429 509 552

Failure to comply may result in delays to your journey.
