La Trobe has welcomed today's announcement by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) of extending the University's innovative Nexus Program by two years, with 30 students per year, and creating a broader pool of places for qualified professionals to retrain as teachers.
The continuation of Nexus honours the Federal Government's announcement last week of its decision to extend Nexus by two years.
