Supporting a growing sector
Today, Darren Fisher, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Dartmouth - Cole Harbour, announced a repayable contribution of $397,500 through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program to support WINstorm's expansion in the evolving digital communications sector. The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) delivers the REGI program in Atlantic Canada. MP Fisher made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages.
The contribution will enable WINstorm to buy new equipment and implement a detailed customer analysis and marketing strategy to strengthen the company's position as a key supplier of digital marketing solutions. WINstorm will also create three new jobs and maintain five others, helping to grow and diversify the local economy.
The Government of Canada will continue to make strategic investments to help Canadian businesses scale-up, increase productivity and participate in global markets. Investing in new technologies and employment opportunities not only improves productivity and profitability, it also helps companies drive growth, be more competitive and succeed.
