Winter Magic Awaits at Blue Tongue Berries

As winter wraps its cool arms around the Goulburn Region, something magical happens at Blue Tongue Berries, a small scale 20 acre off-grid blueberry farm in Seymour. The air turns crisp, the skies clear, and the lush, rolling hills transform into a peaceful countryside retreat-just waiting for you to slow down, breathe deep, and truly unwind.

This truly breath-taking property has been lovingly curated and maintained by Cynthia & Nick for over 25 years. Whether you're planning a romantic weekend getaway or a memorable escape with friends, Blue Tongue Berries is the hidden gem you've been waiting to discover.

Cosy Escapes for Couples - "Casita"

Winter at Blue Tongue Berries is peaceful and cosy. You and your partner can relax by the wood fire in an off-grid cabin, drink local wine, and watch the sunset over the paddocks.

Casita 3 is a small cedar guesthouse for 2 people. It has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a lounge with a wood fire heater. It looks out over the blueberry fields. There are no cars, no screens, and no stress. Just stars above and the quiet sounds of nature.

You can walk together to the "LookOut" for a great view, then head to the Cantina for a slow breakfast made by the owners, Cynthia and Nick. We tried their Lo Bak Go with dumpling lace top. It's a tasty Malaysian dish that Cynthia cooks with care. Ask for it if you're keen to try something special.

Friends, Firepits & Starry Nights - "The Hacienda"

Planning a weekend away with your mates? Winter is a great time to get together for a cosy trip by the fire. The Hacienda is a unique strawbale building designed to make the most of the sun.

Hacienda 1 and 2 are private guest rooms, each with their own bathroom and lockable entry. There are also shared spaces like the lounge with a wood fire, a courtyard garden, and a balcony.

You'll get amazing views of the Tallarook Ranges, and it's a top spot for stargazing. Add some good food and wine from local makers, and you'll make memories you won't forget. You'll probably want to come back.

You can also go for a bushwalk in the Tallarook State Forest or along the Goulburn River for a bit of adventure mixed with relaxation.
