Witnesses sought after trio break into Frankston apartments

Detectives from the Frankston Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following two aggravated burglaries at an apartment complex in Frankston overnight.

The first incident occurred at an apartment in the Nepean Highway complex about 9.30pm.

Police have been told a man and two women kicked open the front door and made demands for an occupant's property.

The man was armed with a knife and stole personal items before taking off.

The female victim was not physically injured during the incident.

Shortly after, it is believed the same trio used an unknown tool to force entry to another apartment.

An occupant woke to the noise and chased after the group who fled in an unknown direction.

Detectives established a crime scene overnight and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time to come forward.
