Witnesses Sought in South Coast Road Rage Assault

Police are appealing for information following an alleged assault in the State's south yesterday.

About 1.25pm on Tuesday 17 March 2026, emergency services were called to Moona Creek Road, Vincentia, about 7km north of Sanctuary Point, after a report of an alleged road rage incident and assault.

Police were told the occupants of a white Toyota Corolla hatchback attempted to speak to the female driver of a grey Ford Territory SUV, before she has allegedly assaulted a 79-year-old man.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to hospital where he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into the incident.

As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing for information to assist.

In particular, anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage between The Wool Road and Navel College Road, Vincentia, between 1pm and 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 17 March 2026) is urged to contact South Coast police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
