Wodonga TAFE receive new hybrid training vehicles

Wodonga TAFE have received five vehicles donated from Jacob Toyota Wodonga and Lexus of Wodonga to be used to assist with the delivery of new emerging and innovative technology training within both the Light Vehicle Mechanic and the Motorsports Technology courses.

"In keeping up with the ever-changing light vehicle landscape, these vehicles will be invaluable in the delivery of new hybrid vehicle training for Wodonga TAFE, which will greatly prepare our graduates for working in the industry. We're very grateful to Jacob Toyota Wodonga and Lexus of Wodonga for their continued support of Wodonga TAFE and our students," said Phil Paterson, Chief Executive Officer of Wodonga TAFE.

Wodonga TAFE received the following vehicles: Toyota Corolla Ascent Sports, Toyota Corolla Sedan SX Hybrid, Lexus ES350, Lexus RX350, and Lexus IS300h Hybrid. "With Hybrid and Electric vehicles currently experiencing huge up-take across the market, we felt the opportunity to donate these cars in-kind to Wodonga TAFE's Automotive and Motorsports department was important for the future of the industry.

We're really excited to be contributing to the continuing development of Technicians across the industry, and to ensure the practical skills and experience students are gaining through TAFE is with technology that is becoming more and more the industry norm," said Dean Jacob - Dealer Principal of Jacob Toyota & Lexus of Wodonga.

Wodonga TAFE are invested in expanding innovative learning programs in accordance with emerging technologies.

This ensures our graduates have the knowledge and skills they need to meet future industry demand and skills shortages.

Wodonga TAFE's 'Logical Innovations' expansion proposal will continue to evolve our training at the Logic campus to meet future workforce needs.
