Wollongong Art Gallery goes Stage 2

Wollongong Art Gallery will begin taking bookings from 7 October, progressing to Stage 2 of reopening. The Gallery will welcome a limited number of guests starting mid-October after delivering the majority of its public programs online over the past months.

This means a return to seated events such as artist talks, exhibition openings, guest speakers, art making workshops and tours for adults and children and school education programs.

Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said that the Wollongong Art Gallery was taking steps to ensure that all visitors to the Gallery could enjoy the experience and stay safe.

"The Gallery has been open since July, and we're now able to return to offering our face to face programs. This is good news for those wanting a deeper engagement with the current and future exhibitions."

"To make this happen, we're rolling out a range of social distancing practices to ensure that everyone who visits the Gallery can do so safely. We're very lucky at Wollongong Art Gallery as we have lots of space for people to spread out and take their time to appreciate the artworks."
