Wollongong Youth Services are hosting an Expo Day on Tuesday 14 July, bringing together more than 20 local services to answer any questions you may have!
Held at the Youth Centre, the drop-in event is an opportunity for community to chat with various services about the support they can provide for young people. There will be stalls set up from education providers, mental health services, employment, creative programs and more.
The Youth Centre will also be open for visitors to explore, giving people the chance to discover the range of free facilities, spaces, and resources available. The Youth Services team will be there to assist and answer any queries.
"We want to empower the younger members of our community to be confident in reaching out for help when they need it, and it starts by knowing who they can contact," Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Tania Brown said.
"The Expo Day will connect them with the wealth of advice, resources, and programs, at their disposal including our wonderful Youth Services team. The diversity of services coming along really captures the different things we may need in our lifetime.
"This free event is open to everyone. Make some time to drop-in, whether you're a young person or a parent of one, and meet the friendly faces who are here to make life easier for our community. And, to make the deal sweeter, there will be giveaways and a BBQ on us."
