Woman assaulted in Subiaco

Police are seeking information to assist with their investigation into the assault of a woman in Subiaco.

About 6.55pm on Friday 23 July 2021, a woman in her 20s was running along the footpath/bike path on Subiaco Road adjacent to the train line.

An unknown man has grabbed her from behind, placing an arm around her neck. The woman struggled with the man and they both fell to the ground. The woman punched the man whilst she was on the ground before managing to stand up and run away.

The man is described as being aged between 25 to 35 years, approximately 175cms tall, with dark skin, a slim build, and black collar length hair. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, a yellow/light mustard corduroy jacket and black pants.

Numerous people were in the vicinity of the bike path around the time of the incident and detectives urge anyone with any information relating to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
