Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged a woman with alleged child abuse offences under Strike Force Trawler.
Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing investigation by State Crime Command's Sex Crimes Squad Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
On Saturday 11 July 2026, strike force detectives received a report regarding the detection of child abuse material linked to an account holder based in the state's Central West.
About 7.15am yesterday (Tuesday 14 July 2026) strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Gilgandra and arrested a 35-year-old woman.
She was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with four counts of use carriage service make available child abuse and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
The 35-year-old woman was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 4 today (Wednesday 15 July 2026).
Strike Force Trawler inquiries are ongoing.
