A woman has been charged with alleged drug-related offences in the state's far west.
Officers attached to Barrier Police District attended a home on Gypsum Street, Broken Hill, about 3.45pm Wednesday 18 March 2026, for inquiries relating to an unrelated investigation.
While at the residence, police allegedly located several drug paraphernalia.
A crime scene was established, and police executed a crime scene warrant at 7.30pm the same day, where they allegedly seized 28 grams of methylamphetamine, 2.5 grams of cannabis, $3,200 cash, two packets of prohibited cigarettes, a baton and a firework.
Following inquiries, about 10.10pm the same day, police attended a home on Morgan Street, Broken Hill, where they arrested a 49-year-old woman.
She was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where she was charged with:
· Supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity,
· Recklessly deal with proceeds of crime less than or equal to $5000,
· Possess prohibited drug,
· Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit,
· Goods suspected stolen in custody of other-not motor vehicle, and
· Possess, supply or make explosive for unlawful purpose.
She was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 4 yesterday (Thursday 19 March 2026), where she was granted conditional bail to face Broken Hill Local Court on Tuesday 31 March 2026.
