Woman dies after car hits tree north-west of Albury

A woman has died after a single-vehicle crash near Albury earlier today.

Emergency services were called to Urana Road, Walbundrie, 50km north-west of Albury, about 8am (Saturday 4 June 2022), after a passing motorist found the Holden Commodore sedan which had left the road and hit a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, a woman believed to be aged in her 20s, died at the scene.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended, established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
