Woman dies after fall - Manly

A police operation is underway following the death of a woman in the Northern Beaches today.

About 6.20am (Wednesday 24 June 2020), emergency services attended North Head Sanctuary in Manly following reports of a concern for welfare.

Upon arrival, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command found a woman suffering from a serious head injury after a fall.

Despite efforts to revive her, the woman died at the scene.

A second woman was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
