Woman dies in hospital after Bell Post Hill collision

A 74-year-old woman has died in hospital following a serious collision in Bell Post Hill on 10 September.

It is believed a blue Kia Rio was travelling eastbound along Creamery Road when it hit a couch on the road around 7.50pm.

The Kia Rio then collided with a Hyundai i40 travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver and sole occupant of the Kia Rio, a North Geelong woman, was taken to hospital where she died yesterday afternoon.

The occupants of the Hyundai i40, a woman and two children, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and continue to investigate how the couch came to be on the road prior to the collision.
