Public Order Response Team (PORT) officers have arrested and charged a woman following reports of a criminal damage incident in Port Melbourne this afternoon.
Police received reports of a woman in a Santa hat allegedly damaging a vehicle while wielding an axe on Stokes Street about 1.20pm on 20 November.
After cordoning off the area, officers located the woman nearby a short time later.
The 40-year-old Port Melbourne woman was charged with criminal damage, posses implement to cause criminal damage, riotous behaviour, and possess/use dangerous article.
She was bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court at later date.
