Woman struck by car in Geelong

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after an elderly woman was struck by a vehicle in Geelong this evening (29 June).

The 80-year-old woman was leaving church and crossing Yarra Street about 7pm when she was struck by the car reversing out of a carpark.

The male driver stopped and spoke to the woman briefly before driving off.

The victim was transported to hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
