Women's candidates forum

Armidale Regional Council

Did you know that women represent less than a third of all councillors and mayors serving on the 128 councils in NSW?

Women from all walks of life are being encouraged to put their hand up for election to help ensure local councils are representative of the communities they serve.

Are you a woman and thinking about standing for council in the upcoming Local Government elections? Or do you know a family member or friend that is considering standing for Council?

The NSW branch of the Australian Local Government Women's Association is conducting a forum for women on Saturday 22 May at the Armidale Council Chambers, 135 Rusden Street on Saturday 22 May starting at 10am for approx. 3 hours.

If you cannot make the women's only session, candidate briefings are also being held on 1 and 2 July.
