Works Continuing On Our Outdoor Pools

Maintenance upgrades are continuing on the Pakenham Outdoor Pool and the Koo Wee Rup Outdoor Pool, ahead of the upcoming summer season.

As part of Council's broader Outdoor Pool refurbishment program, a number of complex structural repairs underway to ensure that these pools remain safe and functional for years to come.

Pakenham Outdoor Pool is currently undergoing significant repairs, including structural remediation, resealing works and restoration activities required to extend the life of the facility and improve the experience for pool users.

Due to the specialised nature of these repairs, several stages must be completed in a sequence, with works subject to technical inspections and quality assurance requirements before progressing.

Council is continuing to work closely with contractors and technical consultants to progress the remaining works as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Works will also be underway at the Koo Wee Rup Outdoor Pool in June 2026. These works involve draining the pools to complete inspections and repair underground pipework.

Renovations are progressing in the changerooms, including new flooring, shower cubicles, fixtures and painting. Upgrade works are also underway in the kiosk and reception area, with new countertops, floor tiling and painting to the first aid room and front exterior being completed.

Council is working towards completing required maintenance works to reopen for the upcoming summer pool season. During the off-season, residents are encouraged to visit and use nearby indoor facilities at Cardinia Life.

Council will continue to provide updates to the community as works progress, and we appreciate the community's patience and understanding, while these important works are completed.
