Wounding / Serious assault investigation - Loganlea

Police are investigating after two men, aged 30 and 40, and who were known to each other, were allegedly involved in physical altercations which saw both men hospitalised with serious injuries.

Police will allege that at around 4.20pm yesterday (May 11), during the first altercation, the younger man received a stab wound to his head at a residence at a Surmon Street, Loganlea.

The injured man sustained a significant laceration to the left side of his head and the older man fled the scene.

A short time later the 30-year-old got into a vehicle and as he was driving down Station Road, Loganlea he spotted the 40-year-old man walking along the footpath.

Police will allege the vehicle struck the 40-year-old man and a further altercation occurred on the footpath between the men.

Police on patrol saw the incident and intervened.

The 40-year-old man has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The 30-year-old man has been taken to Logan Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing into the alleged actions of both men with police appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents or has relevant dashcam /CCTV footage to contact them (details below).
