Youth Engagement Grants Launch Today for Young People

  • Youth Engagement Grants Program promotes community participation
  • Grants up to $10,000 to fund and support engaging projects for young people
  • Aim of the grants program is to empower young people

Local governments and community service organisations are invited to apply for grant funding to implement creative projects that will engage young people in their community.

The WA Youth Engagement Grants Program provides up to $10,000 for recipients to engage young people, aged 10 to 25 years, in original ways that achieve positive outcomes for their community.

The grants will fund youth engagement initiatives and projects that empower young people, support them to develop skills, knowledge and confidence and help them achieve their goals.

The grants will further support organisations to meaningfully embed National Principle 2 for Child Safe Organisations: "Children and young people are informed about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously."

Applications for the Youth Engagement Grants Program open today and close on Friday 2 February 2024.

Previous grant recipients include the Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation, which used funding for its youth cultural camp, and the Shire of Broome for its Remote Youth Exchange Project.
