Zeus arrests teens at Beaumont

Four teens have been arrested and a stolen car located after an incident at Beaumont this morning.

About 2.45am Thursday 1 December police were called to Katoomba Road after residents reported that four people were acting suspiciously in the street.

Eastern District Patrols and PD Zeus quickly cordoned the area locating a 16-year-old Christie Downs boy in the front yard of a home on Pam Street. The search continued with police tracking down the three remaining suspects trying to hide on the roof of a house on McAllan Avenue.

PD Zeus commenced negotiations with the teens, about 15 minutes later the three boys came down and were placed under arrest. Police allegedly located the keys to a stolen Land Rover in their possession.

After a quick search the Land Rover was located on Katoomba Road. Checks revealed it had been stolen from North Adelaide just after midnight on Wednesday 30 November.

All four boys, a 15-year-old from Murray Bridge, a 16-year-old from Paralowie, a 16-year-old from Hackham West and a 16-year-old from Christie Downs are expected to be charged with a number of offences including illegal use of motor vehicle.
