1 July 2022 pay rates now available

Wageline now has available the 1July 2022 versions of its WA award summaries which include the new rates of pay that will apply from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2022, and has published the new state minimum rates of pay for award free employees.

The state award rates of pay are increasing, with award rates below $887.40 increasing by $40.90 per week and award rates of $887.40 and above increasing by 4.65% from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2022. The Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission issued the 2022 State Wage Case decision on 23 June 2022.

This pay rate increase only applies to employers and employees in the state industrial relations system. It covers businesses and organisations which operate as:

  • sole traders (e.g. Jane Smith trading as Jane's Café)
  • unincorporated partnerships (e.g. Jane and Bob Smith trading as Jane's Café)
  • unincorporated trust arrangements (e.g. Jane and Bob Smith as trustee for Jane's Café)
  • incorporated associations that are not trading or financial corporations and other not-for-profit organisations that are not trading or financial corporations
