New year-round nation and player rankings to enhance storytelling
FIFA today announced record-breaking participation levels on the road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, with more than 120 nations set to compete across multiple qualification pathways. The milestone marks the largest and most inclusive FIFAe season to date, underlining FIFA's continued commitment to growing football esports worldwide, with more than half of its Member Associations taking part.
The national-team season will feature three core competitions across Rocket League, eFootball™ Console, and eFootball™ Mobile, offering players from various communities a clear and accessible route to represent their nation on the global stage. Players can now register on FIFA.GG to step onto the global stage, put their name forward, and stay tuned for the latest updates as the journey unfolds.
Qualification for the FIFAe Finals will run throughout the year, starting with the FIFAe Nations League as the foundation of national team competition. From there, teams advance to the continental qualifiers, where the best nations in each region earn qualification for the FIFAe Finals 2026.
eFootball™ Mobile kicks off a new era with its first-ever 2v2 format, boosting teamwork and mirroring the excitement of team-based eFootball™ Console play. Rocket League, meanwhile, keeps its iconic 3v3 format, where national teams clash for pride and glory.
In a new step designed to enhance storytelling throughout the year, FIFAe World Rankings and player-based 'FIFAe Performance Index' systems will be introduced on FIFA.GG . These rankings will track performance across official FIFAe competitions, offering fans deeper insights into form and rivalries as the season unfolds.
