15 Charged With 50 Drug, Property Offences in Agnes Water

Gladstone detectives have charged 15 people with 50 offences following investigations into property crime within the Agnes Water and Deepwater area last week.

The two-day operation resulted in a number of firearms and dangerous drugs seized at several properties throughout the area.

Around 1pm on 5 May, detectives from Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) executed a warrant at a Cross Road address, where two firearms and a quantity of dangerous drugs were located.

The 40-year-old woman received a notice to appear for two counts each of enter premises and commit, and receiving tainted property (rifles), and one count each of authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possessing utensils, and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

The 32-year-old man was received a notice to appear for one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

The 36-year-old man received a notice to appear for two counts each of enter premises and commit and receiving tainted property (rifles), and one count of authority required to possess explosives.

All are due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 15 June.

Around 9.30am on 6 May, detectives executed a search warrant at an Allingham Way address at Agnes Waters and located a quantity of dangerous drugs.

A 35-year-old Agnes Water man received a notice to appear with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine and gamma hydroxybutyric acid), and one count each of possessing utensils, possessing tainted property, and possessing anything used in the commission of crime.

A 70-year-old Agnes Water woman received a notice to appear with producing dangerous drugs, and possessing dangerous drugs and utensils.

The man and the woman are due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 8 June.

Operation Yankee Forge is a six-month, district-led, statewide initiative targeting high-harm and high-volume offences, including unlawful use of motor vehicles, unlawful entry and robbery.

The operation will enhance policing activities across Queensland to reduce victim numbers and strengthen community safety.

Police regions, supported by specialist squads, will undertake coordinated disruption activities across the state. Police will target high-harm offenders and work closely with partner agencies to ensure offenders are held accountable. With a strong focus on crime prevention, police will be highly visible as they prevent, disrupt and investigate offending, with particular emphasis on unlawful use, robbery and unlawful entry.

The operation will be locally led and centrally coordinated, leveraging the knowledge and experience of officers who know their communities best.
