The 19th Pollie Pedal ride has come to an end, raising more than $50,000 to support Tasmanians with Diabetes.
This year's ride saw 20 cyclists, including 7 live with diabetes, travel 300km across Southern Tasmania, taking the time to stop at Margate Primary School to speak with learners about living with diabetes.
Deputy Premier Guy Barnett, who led the ride, said he was extremely pleased to see such an amount raised.
"I want to thank everyone who took the time to donate to this important cause," the Deputy said.
"Since we started the Pollie Pedal in 2006, we've raised more than $940,000 for vital diabetes programs and research.
"I have lived with type 1 diabetes since 1997, and this unique three-day cycling event is something I proudly take part in each and every year.
"Next year will be our 20th ride, and I look forward to sharing what we have planned for this special milestone."
